Project overview

Specialized repair for 30-foot Moderco panels

Moderco contacted our team directly to repair 40 riveted, trimless operable partition panels at East Montgomery County Convention Center. Standing 30 feet tall, these panels presented a complex repair that demanded experience with their construction and assembly. Moderco trusted our team to restore the existing system.

Existing condition

Addressing damage from the original installation

During the original installation, the panels were hung without sufficient additional support at their centers, causing bending and warping in two areas. Their size and riveted construction made the repair especially challenging. Removing the panels from the overhead track would have introduced a risk of further damage, so our team needed to complete the restoration with the panels still suspended in place.

On-track restorationThe existing panels were carefully disassembled and restored without removing them from the track.

Work performed

Careful disassembly and restoration on the track

Our team carefully disassembled the panels while they remained on the track, removing the interior trim to allow the corners to be wrapped before reassembly. This was the most technically demanding part of the project, requiring precise handling and specialized knowledge of these 30-foot-tall trimless panels.
